Alpine Adventure Holidays
After years of being 'Europe's best-kept holiday secret', the Alps in summer are just starting to become recognised for the simply superb family holidays which they provide.
Our selected resorts are so easy to reach too, whether you Self-Drive or Fly-Drive, and await you with a summer climate consistently warmer than the UK, without being so uncomfortably hot that you don't feel like actually doing anything. Add in the spectacular scenery, great lungfuls of the freshest air, and one of the most pristine environments on the planet, and it’s easy to see why families are increasingly choosing the summer Alps for a rewarding and fun-filled holiday.
The Best of Both Worlds
Our years of experience in the mountains have developed the perfect solution to young families' classic dilemma, with so much you want to enjoy together as a family, but so much on offer that gets parents excited, but is beyond the youngsters' capabilities just yet.
The secret lies simply in the flexibility of our child care arrangements, which allows you to alternate family days together with days when the children are left safe and happy in our care, making new friends and enjoying action-packed days out themselves, leaving you free to follow your own passions, whether that be a big full-day hike, a white water rafting adventure, or a morning's sight-seeing and shopping.
With Esprit, you really can have the best of both worlds.
Esprit Nurseries
Run on five days per week in Alpe d'Huez, Belle Plagne and Saas Fee, as there are frankly few activities where a pushchair is a real asset, and where babies and toddlers wouldn’t be having a much happier, less fractious time with others their own age, cared for by our friendly, fully qualified nannies.
Alpies Club
Runs in Alpe d'Huez, Belle Plagne and Saas Fee throughout the whole season, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a further free day on Thursdays. This pattern gives you the perfect balance between family fun days together, and days when you can take on that all-day mountain hike, or spend a 'grown-up' day in the nearest historic city. Meanwhile, the children (hurtful but true!) are busy forgetting all about you, as they go rock-climbing, husky-walking or mountain-biking with their new friends, in the company of our enthusiastic, well-trained staff and guides.
Teen Rangers
In Belle Plagne and Alpe d'Huez run on the same days of the week as the Alpies Club (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
Alternatively if your children are in the 8-15 years range, take a look at our Family Activity Weeks, which have proved hugely popular and are available in all our French resorts. These exciting adventures are ideal for those families who want to do everything together.
