Family Adventure Holidays
After years of being 'Europe's best-kept holiday secret', the Alps in summer are just starting to become recognised for the simply superb family holidays
which they provide.
The climate is ideal, with temperatures generally between 70°-85°F and plenty of sunshine. This balance, being consistently
warmer than the average UK summer, but not so blisteringly hot that it's positively uncomfortable, is perfect for making the most of the mountains, the lakes and
swimming-pools, and the host of activities these wonderful Alpine resorts have to offer.
There is so much to do that the most active family will relish the seemingly endless choice and variety, whilst those in search of relaxation will find the fresh air, pristine
environment and spectacular scenery a real tonic.
The Best of Both Worlds
It’s the age-old family holiday dilemma: there are lots of things to do and places to see where the whole family will want to have
fun together, but there are other holiday pleasures and activity challenges which parents can only really enjoy if their children are safe and happy elsewhere.
With Esprit, you really can have the best of both worlds.
Our Esprit Nurseries run on five days per week in Alpe d'Huez, Belle Plagne, Chamonix and Saas Fee, as there are frankly few activities where a
pushchair is a real asset, and where babies and toddlers wouldn’t be having a much happier, less fractious time with others their own age, cared for by our friendly, fully
qualified nannies.
Our Alpies Club runs in Alpe d'Huez, Belle Plagne, Chamonix and Saas Fee throughout the whole season, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a further free day on Thursdays. This pattern gives you the perfect balance between family fun days together, and days when you can take on that al-day mountain hike, or spend
a ‘grown-up’ day in the nearest historic city. Meanwhile, the children (hurtful but true!) are busy forgetting all about you, as they go rock-climbing, husky-walking or mountain-biking with their new friends, in the company of our enthusiastic, well-trained
staff and guides.
Our Teen Rangers in Belle Plagne and Alpe d'Huez run on the same days of the week as the Alpies’ main days, from 17th July to 27th August.
Alternatively if your children are in the 8-15 years range, take a look at our Escorted
Adventure Weeks, which have proved hugely popular and are available in all our French resorts. These exciting adventures are ideal for those families who want to
do everything together.
