Overnight Hotels En Route

Many families prefer to break their journey with a well chosen stop en route. A stop around Beaune or Dijon in Burgundy is a good choice for going to Alpe d'Huez or Belle Plagne or at Strasbourg or Mulhouse on the route to Saas Fee.

"Relais du Silence" and "Chateaux & Hotel de France" have a wide selection of charming properties in convenient stopover locations, as does the Accor Hotel group.

Our Managing Director's favourite hotel to stop at is in Burgundy's capital, Beaune (about 5 hours from Calais), the Chateau Bellecroix. It's not the cheapest en route hotel but is a super tranquil stop-over in the heart of Burgundy's top quality wine area with Mersault and Nuit St George close by to name but a few.
